How can you boost sales without investing in the presentation of your fine wines? You have a unique product—use its unique packaging to grab your customer’s attention. It will be a differentiator for your brand and why customers pick your bottles over others. So, to nail the engagement, you must upgrade your design process, benefit from the new-age technological innovations, and pack the product to last much longer.
The Design Process
From the design perfective, your packages represent a distinct structure and graphics. While good graphics boost a product’s visual appeal, the structural design adds functional and practical benefits.
A knowledgeable team will understand the different characteristics of packing materials, carton conversion, line requirements, handling demands, etc. Environmental, consumer, retail, and regulatory considerations also come into play to determine appropriate solutions. Correct sizes, unique shapes, clever openings, and decorative possibilities further elevate your product. When it comes folding the box, here is what you need to know:
Bottom Snap Lock Box
It is one of the most widely used containers today. A.K.A. the 1-2-3 closure, the folds of this type of box feature a tuck top closure and a bottom closure. Snap lock bottom boxes offer extra protection for heavier items.
Six Corner Tray
This box is for manual assembly and loading. The width of the lid is two times the size of the bottom width. The four corner paperboard trays are affixed together, and the box is shipped flat. Also, every corner is scored diagonally, and the sides bend inwards into a collapsed placement.
Airplane Style Straight Tuck
This fold features closing panels on both ends swinging from the rear to tuck in the front. The box folds can also feature friction fit or slit locks for added protection.
Tuck & Tongue
This manually assembled box has a sturdy design that can even withstand rough handling without opening. There is a locking feature on the top panel for reinforcement. These boxes are primarily used in luxury retail packaging.
Folding Instructions
There are some basic instructions to follow with almost every wine box. Start by pushing the tabs outside. Bring the sides together, so they meet in the center, and finally, push the tabs inside to lock the box. Now, push the bottom floor inside so it closes the sides, safely insert the bottle, push the top floor inwards to lock it in place, and you are all good to go. This box can be placed inside the shipping box or the way the client demands it.
Automatic Box Folding Machine
High-speed automated machines help with optimal box edge folding. These make for faster processes, needing no active operators while having an ergonomically friendly structure. In addition, a few simple adjustments can accommodate a wide range of formats for ease of use, maintenance, and adhesion.
